Can my card be used to call other countries?
You can call to over 200 countries from the US with our calling cards.

How does your system work?
We issue you a toll free # and a unique customer PIN #. You simply dial the toll free # and listen to the prompt. You will be instructed to enter your PIN #. Once your PIN # is entered, you will be prompted to enter your destination number. With the ValuCom cards, you can call over 200 countries from the US.

Are the lines clear and what carrier do you use?
ValuCom believes in delivering high quality connections at the lowest rates. We use only top tier carriers (like AT&T) and state-of-the-art platforms to complete your calls.

How long is the Pin # valid for?
All of our Cards carry an expiration date. The approximate expiration date is one year or less, from the date of purchase. Cards expiration dates are issued with the pin number.

Can you receive the same low rates using a cell phone?
With our service, your long distance rates will always remain the same whether you call from home or a cell phone. (However, when using your cell phone you will be subject to the usual air time and roaming charges as charged by your service provider).

Are there any additional charges when using a pay phone?
In accordance with FCC regulations there is an additional charge for using a pay phone. This charge is not a reflection of ValuCom's rate schedule. This charge is deducted from your account by the owner of the pay phone and is not deducted by Valucom.

Can I get the same pin# when its time runs out?
You can receive the same PIN# with the order of rechargeable plans only.

How do I receive my Card?
You will receive your PIN # once all of your credit card information has been verified with our database. Once your account has been set up, your pin# will be displayed upon the point of purchase. However you can receive instant pins on the web if all your information matches with the credit card.

Are there any hidden charges?
All charges are posted as is. Please feel free to browse our rates section and see for yourself.

How is the effective rate calculated?
ValuCom's rates are calculate by the industry standard system, which is thus: Calculation of rate = (denomination - surcharge)/ (total minutes on card)

What is a connection charge?
The connection charge is a nominal amount that is deducted from your card every time you place a call. 

My card is reading "card is in use".
Does that means someone is using my card?

No that does not mean someone is using your card. It happens when you are making multiple calls. Sometimes your PIN engages the next phone # before disconnecting from the previous one. In other cases the computer may lock up, causing troubles with your PIN. Most of the time the PIN will unlock by itself in 20 min or so. If you are experiencing troubles with your PIN please contact us at 888-825-8266/888-825-8227 during office hours (8a.m-11p.m CST) and our friendly customer service representative can unlock your PIN.

VC DIRECT™ is a new and innovative revolutionary long distance service that provides low rates to call over 200 countries at significant savings. You can now dial overseas without the hassle of a calling card or PIN numbers using the newly launched VC DIRECT™ Service at 30-50% lower rates compared to other direct dial services.

How does VC DIRECT™ Service work?
A. The VC DIRECT™ Service uses Automatic Number Identification ANI technology. This service provides our customers the simplicity of direct dialing at significantly lower rates. This means that you will no longer have the hassles of switching long distance carriers or dialing long PIN numbers. With VC DIRECT™ simply dial a toll-free number followed by your destination number!

How will I be able to choose different phone numbers to use this service?
A. You can choose up to three phone numbers that you call from most frequently. For example, your home, work, or cell phone number. We will program these numbers into our system so that you can start your savings from these selected phone lines. (You need to set up only one common account for all three numbers)

How is the VC DIRECT™ different from the calling card I am using now?
A. VC DIRECT™ is much more than a normal calling card found in a convenience/grocery store. It gives you the savings of a calling card along with the convenience of one touch, hassle-free dialing. All you need to do is dial the toll free number and then the destination number from one of your chosen phone lines.

Do I have to switch my current long distance carrier?
A. No, you do not. If you like you can keep your long distance carrier. VC DIRECT™ will have no impact on your long distance bill, since you access the service using a toll free number.

Can I use multiple plans?
A. Currently, you cannot use both National Plan and City Plan from the same phone numbers. However, you can choose 2 different phones to program two different plans. For example you can have National Plan on your home phone and City Plan on your cell phone.

Are international rates to cellular phones different?
A. Depending on the country, rates to calls terminating on mobile services may be slightly different.

What is the billing cycle?
A. You can choose from 3 minute or 1 minute billing Plans depending upon on your calling patterns.

How much do I have to spend to get the savings?
A. You can open your account with just $125 and it is valid for 1 year. (You do not have to use all of it in one month.)

  How easy is it to recharge my VC DIRECT™ Account?

How do I update my recognition numbers?
VC Direct provides you with the convenience of changing your recognition numbers(s), providing you with the same savings from different locations.

If you would like to change a recognition number, simply delete the number that you want to replace and then click add recognition number.


What if I call multiple cities in a country and they are not listed in the VC DIRECT City Plan?
If the cities that you call most often are not listed under the city plan, we would recommend to use either National I or III Plans. If one of the multiple cities that you call is listed under the City Plan and the others are not, we would recommend that you purchase both a City and a National Plan. (This will provide you with significant savings and allow for you to manage your phone bill).

Q.What is the Points Program?
The Points Program has been developed to reward you each time you purchase a card with ValuCom. For each dollar spent ValuCom rewards you with valuable points that can be used to purchase products from our online catalog.

What determines my status?
There are 4 levels that can be achieved with the points program, Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. These status's are measured by the total dollar amount spent in the previous year. Click here to see the purchases needed for each status.

How do I earn points?
Points are earned for each dollar spent. You earn 8 base points on each dollar. Bonus points are determined by your status.

How does my credit limit work?
The credit limit is determined at each status level. Each time you move up in status you receive a higher credit limit per month. If you want to increase your credit limit, all that is needed is a supervisors approval to make another purchase.

When do my points expire?
Points expiration take effect the year after they were earned. The points earned in the year 2000 as bronze customer expire 12 months from Jan 01, 2001. Points expiration varies with each status.

What does a Platinum Customer receive that the others do not?
Our Platinum Customers are especially rewarded with their own personal account manager. With their account manager customers will be able to ask questions about their accounts. Dealing with a personal account manager will eliminate any purchasing discrepancies as well as increase your convenience.

How do I join the points program?
The Points Program is for all ValuCom customers. Just enter your Customer Id and password to view your points information.

When did I start earning points?
Points started accumulating on all purchases as of Jan 01, 2000. View your points detail to see how many points you have earned this year.

How can I use my points?
